Clarence House Estate Chardonnay 2023

Clarence House, established in 1830, stands on the original market garden land of Hobart. Nestled in the foothills of the Meehan Ranges, halfway between Hobart and the Coal Valley, Clarence House Estate boasts a truly unique location atop Jurassic dolerite and basalt soils. With its low yearly precipitation, the estate grows exclusively from a single plot, using two clones of Chardonnay from Block 4. Harvested in early April, the grapes were then whole-bunch pressed and allowed to ferment naturally in a combination of tank and old French oak puncheons.
