Skouras Peplo Rose 2022

Pale, brilliant in color, Peplo Rose offers the perfect blend of 1/3 Agiorgitiko, 1/3 Syrah, and 1/3 Mavrofilero. The Syrah ages on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks, the Agiorgitiko in Acacia barrels, and Mavrofileroin egg shaped amphoras with skin contact for 4 months. These vineyards, all situated at an altitude above 600m, lend complexity and intrigue to the wine. On the nose, intense and fresh aromas of strawberry, white flowers, citrus, and minerality offer a tantalizing introduction.

The palate reveals a medium body, structure, and fresh acidity with flavors echoing the aromas while the finish is long with developing flavors. Peplo is passionate, energetic, and inspiring - an unforgettable experience!

Domaine Skouras was founded in 1986 by Dijon-trained oenologist George Skouras. The estate is located near the city of Argos, on the Peloponnese peninsula in Greece. Domaine Skouras focuses on indigenous Greek grapes, such as this wine made from the native grape Moscofilero.
