Chard Farm River Run Pinot has a bouquet that is a complex mix of plum, cherry and herbs wrapped around a core of black spices. The generous cherry fruit on the palate is tamed by the herbal notes before giving way to some interesting black pepper notes in the back. Persistent tannins and mineral acid deliver a powerful finish full of umami and tension. A quality Pinot from a quality Pinot maker.
