Clonakilla Shiraz Viogner 2022
Clonakilla is a family winery, established in 1971. their wines draw their character from the granite soils and cool, continental climate of the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales.
The Shiraz Viognier is their flagship, a careful selection of the best of the Shiraz Viognier parcels they craft each year from their Murrumbateman vineyard.
Opulent aromas, violets and layered spices; ripe berries of perfectly formed tannins frame complex fruit flavours across the palate. This wine will age magnificently.
The exceptional vintage of 2022 provided optimal conditions for gradual ripening throughout the autumn months. These cool-season conditions produced an intensified concentration of spicy aromas in the wine, which take on a classic Clonakilla vinous character in the glass. It is further distinguished by a firm yet soft tannic structure that ensures this bottle will remain cellar worthy for many years.
