Kaesler The Bogan Shiraz 2018
The fruit for the 2014 Bogan Shiraz was sourced from the Kaesler vineyards planted in 1899 and 1965. Matured in American and French oak for 15 months and produced with no fining or filtration this little bad boy is a ripper!
Winemaker Notes
Colour:
Dense, deep garnet and dark purple colour with vibrant edge.
Nose:
Blueberry, blackberry, coffee, dark chocolate and spicy oak. There is a feint edge of wild herbs, such as tarragon and oregano.
Palate:
Fantastic black fruit drive and power, whilst showing restraint and structure. Great acidity, flavours of mocha and supple, silky smooth tannins, with great focus and length. A classic Barossa Shiraz that will drink well over the next 10-15 years.
