The REMUS Old Vine Shiraz is one of twin wines created in the valleys of the Barossa and inspired by twin brothers Remus and Romulus the legendary founders of Ancient Rome were.
Old-vine shiraz sourced from the central Eden Valley and Moculta subregions, 25% whole bunches, matured in French oak (50% new) for 18 months. Deep garnet in colour with lifted aromas of red cherry, satsuma plum, blueberry fruits and hints of dark spice, licorice, violets, sage and dark chocolate. This has a bit more of a sense of space than its twin brother Romulus, there's ripe sinewy tannin and bright acidity in play with a compact, compressed blackberry finish.
