NV The Peppermint Paddock Sparkling Red McLaren Vale is made from 66% Chambourcin and 34% Shiraz. A sparkling red from the great Australian wine making region of McLaren Vale. The team at D'Arenberg has once again created a stunner!
Nose:
A swirl of dark plums, fresh jubes and ripe red berries dusted with cinnamon and spice for lift. It’s a heady mix, drawing you back for another whiff of winter berries and layers of licorice and earth.
Palate:
Full and fresh, the Shiraz provides plushness and there is just enough tannin to keep it all in check. The acidity is mineral-laced and linear providing a back- bone of freshness.
Finish:
Long, clean and taught. This wine is ready for drinking now, it will also reward extended bottle aging. It works a treat with friends up for a bit of fun or accompanying food with a twist like a red duck curry.
