Schild Estate Alma Schild Reserve Chardonnay 2016

This wine is dedicated to Alma Schild, who raised a family of eight children in primitive conditions while supporting her husband Ben establish the Schild family vineyards and is a testament to her understanding and perseverance and sheer hard work.

A truly wonderful find. Single vineyard, matured in fine French Oak and all at an amazing $20 price point.

Palate:
Fresh tropical fruits on the palate combine with restrained hints of oak and creamy, nutty mouth feel derived from lees stirring during maturation. Along with a subtle acid backbone these all ensure the wine a stylish, fresh and elegant feel with length and clear direction.
