Auvigue Macon -Villages 2019
A blend of grapes from Mâcon-Solutré and Pouilly-Fuissé.
Ripe yellow fruit with aniseed and a flowery top note. It’s generous in flavour, but stony things chime in and keep it tidy, a little chalk in with the waxy and subtly buttery texture, a sprinkling of hazelnut tops a solid finish. Ready now.
About Domaine Auvigue - Macon
The name ‘Auvigue’ was already known in 1629 in the vineyards of Beaujolais and Mâconnais. Today, this dynamic family business is operated in the third generation and closely follows the traditional methods of Burgundian viticulture. Since 1946, the winery has been located in a converted mill, the Moulin du Pont, in Charnay-lès-Mâcon. The grapes come from family estates covering 6 hectares, including 2ha that have been organically farmed for over 20 years, in the Mâcon-Solutré and Pouilly-Fuissé appellations.
