Catalina Sounds Pinot Noir 2016

  • $22.00*

Marlborough as a region is generally overlooked for its Pinot Noir's with Martinborough and Central Otago taking much of the glory. Catalina Sounds is beautiful wine and provides great value for money as it beats many more expensive Pinot's from the Marlborough region. Enjoy with a plate of charcuterie, or savour the spices when served with similarly seasoned spiced crispy skin duck.
Winemaker Notes

Colour:
Light ruby red with hints of brick.

Nose:
Mysterious and spicy, this aromatic and savoury Pinot Noir has a more European nose than many new world wines., with layers of complexity evolving each time you swirl your glass.

Palate:
Richer and more weighty than one would expect from the colour, with lavours of red fruits, cinnamon, star anise and charcuterie. The palate is long and balanced with long pleasant tannins providing a framework for this complex wine.
