Glaetzer Wallace Shiraz Grenache 2014

  • $20.00*

Wallace takes on the traditional Barossa Valley mix of Shiraz and Grenache in a thoroughly modern way. "Barossa reds in heavy bottles with snappy labels cost plenty, right? And one glass is enough, right? No on both counts with this wine from Ben Glaetzer. It's generous and juicy with rich berry and spice characters, smooth flavour and texture, excellent persistence and soft, friendly tannins!" -The Age Epicure, "So many layers, new ones as the aromas travel up your nasal passages and the wine coats your taste buds!" -Prince George Citizen
Winemaker Notes

A hint of dark cherry from the Grenache component in Wallace provides an attractive floral note to the nose. The palate is such and full yet supple and fresh. The Shiraz component gives the wine backbone, flesh and body with the Grenache adding soft, vibrant juiciness. Textural tannin, components are supported by lively notes of plums and hints of cassis. Dark fruit's, spice and cigar box characters are the hallmarks of an exceptional 2012 Wallace.
