Troupis Mantinia Moschofilero 2016

  • $22.00*

Moschofilero is an aromatic, pink-tinged white variety grown in the cool-climate area of Mantinia in the Peloponnese, and it's a lovely, summery drink with plenty of good, snappy acidity yet decent texture, too. Similar to an Australian Sauvignon Blanc.

The cultivation of the Troupis’ family’s privately-owned vineyards with a low yield in mind along with modern methods of white wine-making highlight the full potential of the Moschofilero variety in Troupis Mantineia.

It is recommended as an accompaniment for meat with lemon sauces, grilled moderately oily fish and shellfish. Stored under good conditions, it keeps its rich characteristics for at least 2 years.
The golden highlights hint at an aromatic richness combining the aromas of white peach, citron and pear which are followed by a slightly acid yet full flavour and after-taste of bergamot and jasmine.
